Access Statement

Introduction

Our Serviced Apartments are located in a very modern, large, 9 floor apartment building built in 2008. Access is via the stairs / ramp at the front left side of the building or via lifts directly from the underground car park. We have tried to include as much information as possible in this statement, if you have any queries please contact us.

Pre-Arrival

  • We have an extensive website at www.bluerainbowapartments.com, and are also listed on most online booking sites. We are also available through every Travel Agent worldwide.
  • Bookings / enquiries can be made via the website, email, phone, fax or post.
  • The nearest train station (Deansgate) is round the corner from the apartment building, with the station entrance approximately 100 metres away.
  • The nearest Metrolink (Tram) stop is GMEX which is 100 metres away down Whitworth St West.
  • There is a taxi rank 75 metres away from the building on Whitworth St West.
  • We can arrange for shopping / extras to be delivered to your apartment.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

  • Secure under building parking is available for £9.00 per night and must be pre-booked.
  • The car park is accessed via a remote control operated roller shutter door.
  • Parking spaces are clearly marked with a red sign for Blue Rainbow Apartments guests.
  • Wide / easy access spaces are available if required.
  • Access to the building is via lifts at either end of the car park with level access from both floors of the car park. The door from the car park to the lift areas is 85cm wide.
  • Pedestrian access is via street level

Main Entrance & Reception

  • The main entrance door is controlled by a keyfob proximity sensor.
  • Inside the main entrance is a huge illuminated atrium. On the entrance level of the atrium there is an indoor garden with a raised edge that runs the full length of the atrium.
  • The reception desk is located just inside the main entrance and provides 24 hour security and assistance. Part of the reception desk is at a lower level for wheelchair users.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

  • The decor is very modern being mainly white.

Public Areas - WC

  • Bathrooms are available in all apartments, with a selection offering the appropriate handrails.

Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Lounges, Take Away & Cafe

  • There are no restaurants inside the building, however there are a selection of restaurants and take-aways in the immediate area.
  • A restaurant delivery service is offered to all apartments by a number of the best restaurants in Manchester.
  • All apartments are equipped with their own washer/dryer and stocked with detergent. Non biological detergent is available on request.
  • There is no shop within the building, however a Sainsbury’s Local supermarket open 7 days a week is located on the corner of Whitworth Street West and Oxford Road.

  • We have a fitness room within the building, however our guests have access to a local Health Club just 300 metres away at specially negotiated day rates.
  • Our guests also have access to our DVD library with DVDs being delivered directly to your apartment by our staff.

Bedrooms

  • Apartments all consist of entrance hall, bedroom(s), bathroom, en-suite (in all but 1 bedroom apartments) and a lounge / dining area / kitchen.
  • Apartments are available with 1 or 2 bedrooms.
  • Bedrooms are all provided with oversized Goose Feather & Down duvets with synthetic duvets available. Sheets, Duvet Covers and Pillow Cases are all 600 thread count Egyptian cotton.
  • Apartments have a double bed in each bedroom. We have one family apartment which has 2 double beds in the main bedroom and 2 singles in the second bedroom.
  • All apartments have carpet to the main bedroom and either carpet or solid wood flooring to other bedrooms.

Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [En-suite or Shared]

  • All bathrooms and en-suites have ceramic tiled floors. The floors are mainly beige in colour against white walls.
  • There is a release mechanism on the outside of all bathrooms and en-suite doors

Self-Catering Kitchen

  • Kitchen is open plan from the lounge / dining area.
  • Oven is below hob (built under style) with a drop down door.
  • These are ceramic hobs with touch sensitive controls and knobs.
  • Flooring is solid wood.
  • The kitchen is evenly lit with a selection of recessed halogen spotlight in the ceiling plus under cupboard lights.
  • Good contrast between the floor, cupboards and other surfaces.

Grounds and Gardens

  • The building has no external ground or gardens of its own, however the river Medlock and tow path is directly behind the building. Note the towpath has some uneven flagstones.
  • Internal Japanese garden within the confines of the building.
