Blue Rainbow Aparthotels was born in 2005 when hotel industry pros Will Hannah and Jason Abbott spotted a gap in the market for a luxurious but affordable alternative to traditional hotels. They’d both stayed in plenty of adequate but boring and impersonal establishments and decided they could do better. Cue some knowledge pooling and clever networking, and the guys were soon able to set up as providers of luxury serviced apartments in Manchester & Edinburgh for corporate and leisure guests.
It began with a handful of serviced apartments in Manchester and grew into a big operation with a blue-chip client base. The pair used all their knowhow and expertise, plus trusted suppliers to keep fit-out costs to a minimum and expand quickly to satisfy high demand. In just a few years they took possession of the current Commercial Street property in Manchester, comprising 80 new vacant aparthotels over nine floors. They followed this up with the Edinburgh hotel in October 2009.
