Right, with all this running and gym-going we’ve definitely earnt enough brownie points to have a bit of a trough – and sure enough, looming deliciously on the horizon is the 14th annual Manchester Food and Drink Festival, perfect!
From the 7th to the 17th of October, the city will be transformed into a gastronomic paradise, with events in and around town including:
- The Indie Wine Fest, 7th – 8th of Oct
- Chocolate Festival, 8th of Oct
- Kids Food Fest, 9th of Oct
- Cocktail Making Competition, 12th of Oct
- Make Your Own Sausages Night, 13th of Oct
- Tenth Anniversary Menu at the Lowry Hotel, 14th of Oct
- Whisky Festival, 15th of Oct
- Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, 17th of Oct
- as well as a smorgasbord of tours, talks, demonstrations, stalls, gala evenings and try-for-yourself events at the main festival hub in Albert Square, plus countless other participating venues all over the city.
There’ll also be appearances by special guests including Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall and local band Elbow, who will be officially launching their own cask bitter!
